Connecting your phone / MFA

It's possible to connect your mobile phone to your account using several apps.
If connecting your phone, be aware that security is your responsibility. Your phone should be secured by fingerprint if possible, at the very least a 6-digit pin to unlock the display.
Microsoft Teams, Outlook and OneDrive are all supported well by the Android operating system and are available from Google Play Store.
When using a mobile device to connect to your University or College account, you will need to set up Multifactor Authentication. We recommend using the Microsoft Authenticator App, however it is possible to set up a text-message code if you prefer.
On your phone, open the Google Play on Android phone, or App Store on your iPhone, download and install the Microsoft Authenticator App. Step-by-step instructions can be found on the UIS website.
